NEW PROCESSING FACTORY - DYEING, PRINTING
AND CUT AND SEW FACILITIES
Manama
Textile Mills W.L.L. has become the pioneer
in introducing finishing technology in the
Middle East by launching sheet sets dyeing
and printing unit. Being the largest and only
Textile Processing plant in the Kingdom of
Bahrain, the unit consists of high tech finishing
equipment used to produce bed sheet sets and
similar products for the home furnishing industry.
The unit is the on going effort in making
Manama Textiles a global leader in the home
furnishing industry creating high end bed
linens for the US and European markets. The
new Finishing Unit will enable the company
to be totally vertical from raw material to
finished product at a rate of 3.5 million
meters per month.
The process involves bleaching, dyeing, printing,
finishing, surface finishing and fabrication
of three meter wide fabric in a wide range
of colors and print designs. The fabric also
undergoes rigorous testing to ensure superb
product quality. The production capacity of
the Processing Unit is 3.5 million meters
or alternatively about 600,000 sheet sets
per month which will be sold to US and EU.
The Processing unit has the capacity to process
110,000 meters per day through bleaching and
finishing operations and 40,000 meters per
day through dyeing and printing.
The
production is headed by highly qualified professionals,
who have a vast knowledge of textile dyeing
and printing and have extensive experience
in this field. The team includes qualified
and experienced professionals from various
nations including a dyeing/printing manager,
prep./finishing manager, engineering manager,
technical manager and a couple of development
engineers serving as process auditors.
To
operate a plant of this magnitude the plant
site is in itself a self-contained operation
with a high power generator for electrical
power supply, boilers for generating steam,
a water and waste water treatment plant. The
Processing unit has a state-of-the-art water
recycling plant that utilizes extensive ultra
filtration and reverse osmosis filtration
units to reuse approximately 70% of the process
water. The plant has the capacity to process
250,000 gallons of water per day and recycle
another 175,000 gallons.
PROCESSING
FACTORY
The new Processing Unit can be categorised
as one of the most contemporary and automated
finishing plants in the world with state of
the art machines from Benninger, Monforts,
Bruckner, Reggiani, Arioli, Ramisch Guarneri,
Termoelettronica and a fully automated cut
& sew setup by TEXPA. The machinery set
up includes wet process machines along with
bleaching, mercerizing and pad steam, all
dry process machines including strenters,
a very sensitive sanforizing range, printing
machine supported by a fully automated Color
kitchen, Raising machine and a Steam Ager.
The manual fabrication setup complimented
with the latest ETON transportation system
ensures high quality and minimum human intervention.
FINISHING
Our processing Unit is one of the most contemporary
automated finishing plants in the world. We
have bought and set up some of the most technologically
advanced machinery like Benninger, Monfrints,
Bruckner, Reggian, Arioli, Ramisch, Guaneri,
Guaneri, Termoelettronica in our unit. There
is also a fully automated Cut & Sew set
up by TEXPA as well.
PRINTING
The Printing facility has the capability of
processing twelve colors to reproduce a multitude
of different print designs. The screens are
produced in our state of the art engraving
area and designs are created by professionals
in our Design studio/CAD department. We can
process a wide range of fabrics from 100%
cotton to poly cotton blends which includes
plain satin, satin stripe and pinpoint weaves
and can also produce chintzed fabrics and
raised items for flannel products. In dyeing,
we have the capability to process four major
dyestuff categories which include pigment,
vat, reactive and disperse for polyester dyed
shades.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY: The unit has a production
capacity of approx. 3.5 million meters or
600,000 sheet sets per month.
CUT AND SEW DEPARTMENT
The
Cut & Sew department is housing both manual
and automatic fabric sewing paraphernalia
which utilizes high velocity computer controlled
apparatus that sew, inserts care and brand
labels, and folds the product into the final
product size without being touched by human
hands.
The
products made and finished in this area include
flat sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases, and
duvet covers in various styles and sizes.
In case ornate work of specific type is required
by the customer then the fabric is further
processed through the manual machine area
in which the fabric can be embellished with
border treatments or decorative hems as per
the requirement of the clientele.
